So, I'm not sure how many people here even listen to Alter Bridge but I am a big fan and Mark Tremonti is one of my favourite guitarists and I've just heard that they plan on releasing a new album in 2013. Personally, I'm stoked!

2013 is gonna be an incredible year for music.
Tool, AiC, Qotsa and Alter Bridge... and those are just the rock musicians that I enjoy!

So anyway, does anyone here listen to alter bridge, or any of the other bands I've listed, for that matter?

Tool, definitely of interest!

I like, or have liked, all the other bands you mentioned there but I don't think any of them have improved over the years (especially QOTSA, they just make me pine for Kyuss....)

With Alter Bridge specifically, I think Myles Kennedy is a quite amazing singer but I can never quite get into the actual songs.

I'm looking forward to the QOTSA album, even though, as Philly says, the last couple have been just ok.  for whatever reason, it still excites me that they have a new record on the way.  it probably adds to it that Dave Grohl is back on the drum stool.

i haven't really listened to Alter Bridge to be honest.  my take on Myles Kennedy is that, technically, he's a very good singer, but his voice just irritates me!  not sure what it is about him, just never felt right to me.

The other 2013 record i'm looking forward to is Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.

I like Myles, he just has this certain warble that irks me a bit. He's great live though. I love AB, and I've read in interviews Mark and Myles have begun writing for the next album. There should definitely be a new AB album in 2013. I love Tool, every time they come out with a new release I never think it can top the previous one, but they always do! I can't wait to see what they have to offer.
