Is this a A-Pig or C-Pig?
« on: December 16, 2012, 12:57:04 PM »
So, I've found this clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dFjMGHuNpOg and the warpig portion of that clip is pretty much the sound I'm looking for, however, it doesn't specify if it's the alnico or ceramic version. So if any warpig owners could help me decide if it's the cpig och a-pig I would be a very happy man with a new pickup for christmas.

On a more general note, would the cpig or apig be best suited in a magohany body/maple neck guitar for crust/sludge/death/grind/power violence?

That's Keith Merrow doing the demo, best bet would be to find him on Facebook and send him a message:

Sounds like a ceramic magnet to me, I can't be sure though.
