Purchasing BKP's - How, Where?
« on: January 09, 2013, 07:11:53 AM »
First question. What is the easiest way to buy them?

Two - how long does a typical order take to arrive to the U.S.?

Lets say I want a set of Cold Sweets with brushed Nickle covers and no USA dealers have them. Do you order them direct from BKP?

I think it's cheaper to order through BKP themselves on the website when you're in the US, it gets rid of some tax or import or whatever. I'm not totally sure, but that's what I do. Took me about a week, 10 days tops to get them in from BKP to me in South Florida. Might be longer depending on where you are.

I'm in S. Florida too. Seems that it's just easier to order direct I guess. Less headache.

Definitely. Adding other parties just makes things more difficult, and like I said I think there is a price break for US people on something compared to going through a dealer.

Guitar Asylum and The Axe Palace. I would wait for the Axe Palace website to open imo, I heard nick was going to put different descriptions for all BKP's, as well as pictures of every color combination and covers..

these are great stores with great customer service, but the fastest and safest way is still buying straight from BKP website
stores take more time cause they take lots of orders and your pickups will most likely be shipped along with others
Riff Raff, Mules, Black Dog, VHII's, Cold Sweat

I've ordered from Rainbow Guitars as well, right off their website as well as expedited special order (they order and ship to me as soon as they get them) and special orders that they put in along with their regular orders. I've actually had special orders take less time than ordering directly from BKP, not sure how.

Sadly, U.S. distributors are pretty much my only option since my bank keeps declining my overseas purchases, even though I tell them again and again to allow them. I feel sorry for Ben, I've lost track of how many times I've had to tell him, "my bank says it's okay now, try to run the card again". :censored:
