I'm happy with that, I like the aged look on pickups. I always think it sets of nicely against a finish that isn't massively aged (my LP looks brand new). I'll have a look at the others but I reckon that's what I'll go with.

Yeah, I like that too. I also much prefer this to pre aged PUs, which of course have their place too in old worn guitars, but them aging under your fingers is just great, gives them so much character.
In a new LP I would probably polish them and keep them clean (at least to certain degree) to not have them look too aged too fast, yet they will still get that great working look that just means buissiness.

Thanks for the tips. The guitar is 7 years old but well looked after  :) It's going to be late March / April by the time I get them ordered and installed, will have to make do with burstbuckers until then.

here's a quote from an interview:

Nolly: Do you have a personal favourite pickup?

Tim: I do, The Mule. Along with the Miracle Man it was one of the first I worked on and I personally find it suites the majority of what I play. It’s based on a late ’59 PAF humbucker so it’s no surprise to find it’s versatile and that the voice is totally classic. Having said that, it’s not like it’s the only pickup I use but if I can only grab one guitar to go out on a gig with it’d have Mules in it.

Spent the evening listening to the clips and stormy Monday in the neck is starting to win out... Glad I've got until April to make this decision.
