BTW, what's the point of the grip strip? I've only ever seen people (like me) put picks there.
Its meant to make it easier to play sitting down I think. But personally I don't have a V with a grip strip and never had a problem playing seated.

Presumably most people would play seated with their right thigh inserted in the crotch of the V (....Afghan Dave where are you?) so the grip strip's a bit irrelevant.  I imagine the rubber perishes and goes all manky eventually, too.

Cool vintage feature, nonetheless.

Has to be one of the tastiest looking V's I've ever seen. Gotta give us more info on that Explorer you had on your Facebook page too!

Those pics were of 1958 Gibsons - those two guitars are worth more than your house
Here they are again....

Mine are much more affordable  :D

I find playing a V that way naked & wearing a ribbed condom ensures both comfort and control...

And the less said about Afghan's "cool, vintage feature" the better.

Great looking guitar! A Vee is still missing in my collection, which is a real shame given that Michael Schenker was one of my main influences.

Cheers Stephan

Dangerous Question - about £2000
That's not too bad considering the workmanship and that you are running a custom shop. I have paid more for production guitars.

It looks fantastic!
