It looks really nice Jon, and I'm sure it is great to play.  What is the sound like - I always think they are clearer than an LP (at least the ones I've played and heard seem that way).

Korina (Limba or Idigbo) is funny , because play it unplugged and it sounds really bright & zingy , almost like an ash bodied guitar does, but plugged in they are warm and smooth and tuneful.

Favourite guitars are V, Les paul, Ibanez Iceman, Mockingbird, Small bodied Explorer, and perversely I like a tele with body contours

Nothing wrong with that!  :)

I've come to the conclusion I'm too small for Vs or Explorers, but I have this idea of a korina guitar, gold hardware, white scratchplate, black plastic parts, tune-o-matic with strings through body..... but in a singlecut Les Paul Special shape....

I agree Jonathan's Vs might be a bit nicer than even his Lions. It looks like theres a bit more fire in them (if thats possible!).

Those korina Lions were also quite memorable. I just played the aquamarine one, but it came out really well.

The Aquamarine one was extremely fine, as was the Emerald Green one. 

But I think my favourite (that I've seen "in the flesh") is the all-mahogany Lion Special that's still on the site.  Beautiful thing, and I love the "antique violin" colour (which is probably completely the wrong description).

Any plans for your 50th, Andy?  :D
