Aftermath, Warpigs, Miracle Man Carvin CT7
« on: January 10, 2013, 12:08:28 PM »
What would be the best pickup for a mahogany Carvin CT7: Aftermath, Warpigs, Miracle Man. I'm looking for a somewhat spongy sound for the Steve Vai and Zakk Wylde styles, but still have a relativly tight low end for the djenty types of rhythm? I'm really looking for the most aggressive, versatile pickup to cover everything from classic rock to metal.

miracle man
does steve vai and zakk wylde like a champ
one of the best BKP's for heavy lead tones, in my opinion
it's pretty bass heavy, but stil quite tight without being too sharp and scratchy
it's aggressive to some point, but still very versatile
Riff Raff, Mules, Black Dog, VHII's, Cold Sweat

That's what I was thinking from listening to the clips. Especially for a solid mahogany guitar the bass of the war pig would be insanely bass heavy.
