Finally could get the RY set installed in the C66! Coming from AMs it sure sounds brighter now with a bit more "classic" edge to it. Clean definitely has more going on, AMs are good too but more focused, little more "neutral" and you can really hear HUGE lows on the AMs the second you hit that low e. The RY are more balanced that way. In overdrive, you really get lots of that distinct "sizzle" and "purring" you hear in the demos and in high gain that turns into more growling with surprisingly lots of lows, so it isn't thin or anything, VERY chunky! I would say Nailbombs are a bit more focused with a brutal edge in high-gain, while the RY give you that purr and growl and sizzle and shine that way. The AMs were even more focused and extremely precise on fast riffs.

What really blew me away, though, I went with a little different wiring on the 5-way switch so the middle position gives me both humbuckers, position 2 and 4 give two split coils together each. Middle position sounds AMAZING and 2 and 4 as well, I am glad I went for that rather than just getting 1 split coil each! So, RYs are staying!
