There's no UK distributor any more, and the last of the stock got sold off cheap a year or so ago.

Second hand on eBay is the way to go.

+1, that's where I literally buy everything of mine. I'm one of those guys who don't mind and actually prefer in some cases used gear. Gives it character and mojo!

or keep an eye on thomann, they still have a few in stock at good prices. they seem to be winding down their stocking of them too, though. And that doesn't help with getting to try the things, unfortunately

Manson's guitar shop used to be a stockist, but having looked on their site, it looks like they only have a couple of JC cabs left in stock. Not sure if they can still get hold of the amps themselves, might be worth shooting them an email?

I'm surprised - I thought the line was doing really well. Loads of folks on the SD forum have them and speak very highly of them.

they surely are, and not only "for the price"
they sound "expensive" and are also pretty reliable, which is usually not the case with most of the mass production big brands these days

They were good amps.  I don't think people bought into the brand though.  They did look a bit naff...

Do you have any idea as to what it even stood for?

Sucks because I'd love to try one. I was very interested in getting one for myself at some point. Such a shame!

yeah. from what i heard from a few people online who also worked for shops, they did well online (where people had the wit to realise what they actually were) but in the real world they weren't doing so well. In the real world most people haven't heard of soldano, i think is the problem

I like mine. Whether I'd pay full price is another matter, but for £250 with thomann's 3 year warranty (and that was for the 50 watt head), it's hard to complain. :D
