As it's been a long while since I've been round these parts, figured I would share some photos that just came over the tubes last night for my latest amp: a
L'il Dawg Champster. Essentially, this is a Champ clone as a standalone head.
I absolutely love my EAST Studio 2, but as it
is only 2W, it does tend to run out of steam when playing live. For the past couple of years I have been augmenting it with a second amp. The first thing I did was rewire my Rivera 4x12 with the most efficient speakers I could find that I also like the sound of, and wired it as a dual mono 2x12 cab, with each 2x12 being 8 Ohms.

I have used a few different amps along with the Studio 2, some working better than others.
I recently had the thrill of playing a
Swart ST Reverb Tweed, however, and really loved the sound of this amp when pushed to breakup and then goosed with the Beano Boost. My original goal was to get a Swart, but as they are only available in combo form, I started casting around for an alternative.
Thankfully, Toe-knee discovered L'il Dawg, we traded a few emails, I placed an order, and now the amp is in production. :)
Got my first round of pics from Jim yesterday!
