Boss pick ups

Hi - I'm new to the forum.  I will shortly be replacing the pups on a late 80's Japanese Tele. I've looked into various options on the net and have come to the conclusion that the BK Boss pups are the one I would like to go for. Has anyone else out there put these on there Tele,  or any other guitar  for that matter ? If so, I would be greatfull for any thoughts or comment you might have concerning these.  Many thanks,  Paul.

My personal favourite BKP tele pickup , and some days my favourite pickup altogether!

It is a really nice tasty tele pickup that still lets a tele sound like a tele but with a bit more muscle to the sound.
From beefy clean to blues to hard rock and (at a push) metal it'll cover it all well in my opinion.

Ok - the Springsteen reference is there as a guide , but in my hands it has to do more Kinks/Yardbirds/Stones to Great White/Motley Crue and Dokken

I just love it and I must build another Feline tabby to put one in!

We had a nice late 80s Fender Jap Paisley tele in here last week with a set of Boss in it and it sounded just great, so I would suggest it would work well for you too.
I would 100% swap out the pots and cap (280k BKP/CTS pots and either orange drop or Jensen 0.022uF cap) too while you are there and maybe (for the sake of £3) put a new jack socket on it too

Thanks for that Feline - some interesting comments. I certainly do intend  changeing the electrics as well including a new 3 way switch.  I did a similar exerise a year or so ago with a similar age Jap strat (E9 Serial No). I did all the electrics and put in a set of Mothers Milk pups. The difference was amazing, exceeding my expectations in all respects !
