What gear would i need...?

Bit of a techy qeuestion:

thinking of doing a one man band kinda thing, covers etc. I would be playing guitar and singing (basic tunes!). So far I have the guitars and a POD XT Live, but was wondering what else i would need. My band has mixers, PA, power amps, monitors etc but im looking for a simple as possible setup. Would i get away with the following:

Guitars
Mic x1
POD
4 Channel Mixer (suggestions?)
Laptop for backing tracks

Plus anything else you can suggest? Gear recommendations welcome, dont really know much on the technical side of things!

Well you didn't include a type of PA in the list, so I'd say you need that. I'd bring a backup guitar just in case. Does the POD loop? If not I'd probably get a looper pedal even if you have the backing tracks.

Any suggestions on a PA? I see active and passive and a bit overwhelmed by choice. Never used a loop pedal, would proably do without to be honest

I'd go powered unless you're playing massive places. Unpowered speakers means you need to buy a power amp and most likely a mixer, or a mixer that can power a speaker. A lot of powered speakers have multiple channels for vox and guitar, EQ, volumes, etc.
