Some pics from one of the 3 parades my gwoon participated in over the weekend. A fun, frigid, exhausting weekend!

It looks a lot like Chinatown in London (weather included)!  :)

I have to ask, Ben, what's a gwoon?

Gwoon technically means hall or building, but in this context it's shortened from Mo Gwoon, or martial hall. It's a name for a Chinese martial arts school.
Gotta say, that Guan Do looks HEAVY.

I have, indeed. I left Bo Law ... about 3 years ago. I took a couple of years 'off' from kung fu and got my Shodan in Musoshindenryu Iaido. I absolutely LOVED it, but the classes totally clashed with my schedule. Plus, I felt ready to go back to kung fu. I trained at NY Hung Ga for about a year, but it started slowing down and wanted more traditional training, a little less san da/sport training, so I started at Yee's about 3 months ago.

I have been blown away thus far with the quality of the training, depth of history/tradition, and comraderie of my fellow 'brothers' and 'sisters'.
