Neck humbucker similar to Dmz PAF Pro

I have another question in context to my 7-String project. Which Bare Knuckle for the neck sounds similar to the DiMarzio PAF Pro?

I need something that sounds a bit dirty, with good attack, for the neck position. Must not sound weak in the higher registers.

Suggestions much appreciated.

I don't know whether it sounds similar to the PAF Pro since I never tried one in the neck position of any guitar but the VHII neck could be what you want - fat, clear, with a strong solo voice.

It's a long time ago, but if I remember right, the PAF Pro sounded relatively bright in the neck position of my Hamer Vector (I had a MegaDrive in the bridge).  Not much bass but, as suggested, strong on high notes.

I wonder if the VHII neck, with its staggered coils, might be a bit too "open" and/or bassy?  I'm thinking maybe the Cold Sweat neck would fit the bill quite well.....?  It can sing and sound sweet, but it's got a little more power than a vintage style neck humbucker.

(The Nailbomb or Holydiver neck models might be worth considering too, but I haven't tried either so I could be barking up the wrong tree)

in my experience, that would be the neck cold sweat
it reminds me even more of a paf pro in the bridge position
not much bass, present but not honky mids and a bright top
one of the most articulate pickups in the bkp line

the vhII has a fatter and darker voicing, quite different from the paf pro
reminds me just a bit of the 36th and the original dimarzio paf, but sounds bigger and not as bright

I heard the audio clip for the CS neck. It seems to sound a bit scooped, a bit clean. The VHII sounds dirtier. A pity we don't know what guitar/amp was used for the recording.

both are cleanish and not scooped
the sweat is the middiest of them, and also more articulate, so it could sound "cleaner"
they are pretty close in output, but they have different voicings
the sweat seems to be a favorite for most of the post-70's to modern rock/metal stuff

anyway, I wouldn't call the paf pro dirty as well
if you need something hotter, there's the neck aftermath
