Hi guys ! I have just received my Schecter Avenger Blackjack ATX and... I definitely do not like the stock Seymour Duncan AHB-1 Blackout in it, and... I actually enjoy my BK Abraxas set A LOT !
Maybe I should tease you a little with some pictures...
Schecter Avenger Blackjack ATX, with stock Seymour Duncan AHB-1.

I took the strings off, but I kept the sixth one in order to test my setup. Got rid off the Blackout  ! There are only the Tune O Matic inserts left.

(teheee, long neck tenon PDT_003 )
I put a little screw into the insert, tip upside, and I screw the pot inside the insert : the pot hit the tip of the small screw so that the insert is pulled up, effortlessly.

In this picture, we can see the small screw I put nito the insert.
Maybe a video would be better

Once I pulled the insert out of its hole, I made a small channel between the bridge pickup cavity and the insert.
Then, I put a grounding wire into the channel so that the bridge, hence the strings, should be grounded = no disturbing buzz.
Now everything goes easy-cheesy, and I mounted my new Bare Knuckle Abraxas with some additional mods (push-push coil tapping, killpot on the volume pot).

Let's play !

These pickups are very smooth, musical : I could not possibly keep the Seymour Duncan Blackout !
Many thanks to Bare Knuckle staff, I am so much in love with my new guitar and its new pickups !
