Tele bridge pickup to match TVJones Classic....

I have, or soon will have, a blackguard Telecaster, with a TV Jones Classic in the neck position. Does anyone have any idea which bridge pickup would be a good match. I'm thinking BG52 as I'm not looking for anything too hot or mid heavy.

I can't give a recommendation as such, since I don't have any BKP Tele pickups, but for a similar setup I've been considering the BG50, BG52 and Brown Sugar.  I think I may end up opting for the latter.

Although it's not a high-output pickup, the TV Classic is still a humbucker - I suspect it would overpower a low-output vintage Tele bridge pickup.  That's why I'm considering something just that bit hotter.  I think the Boss and Piledriver would definitely be too "rock", but I think the Brown Sugar is more in the middle ground.

I may well be wrong.

I would go for a BOSS every time - height adjustment makes a big difference

I am building something just like that now - although I'm using a TV Jones Magnatron to begin with,
I may swap to a classic although recent experience with a magnatron makes me want that combo.

A humbucker in the neck gives a fair amount of poke and you need a little more at the bridge than you'd think

Boss, Brown Sugar and BG52 will al do, just oif you want the Blackguard-sound the BG52 is the way to go. Anyway it's great allround telepickup with enough mids to rock out.

Thanks for all the replies. I think the BG52 is as hot as I want to go, and it seems as though that will work well with the TV Classic.
Anyone actually tried that combo in a Telecaster?
That Feline looks very nice, the pickup suits the Telecaster shape to a Tee.

No - it's "stock" although I may end up keeping it around a lot as it meets all my likings of late.

I have missed not having an alder tabby with a Boss bridge pickup, so this may satiate that desire.

I also tend to find that if I make a guitar that amazes me, then others tend to like it as well, so it might spawn some interesting orders.
