So I posted another thread asking about new pickups for my Baritone Blacktop Telecaster, (here:
https://bareknucklepickups.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=29537.0 ) looking for a bridge humbucker, and single coil neck set.
After a lot of looking around and the initial recommendation from you guys, I've decided on an Emerald in the bridge, with a coil tap. Now I'm just after some opinions/thoughts on the Piledriver Neck pickup.
Anyone had a Piledriver in a Baritone Tele before?
How well will both pickups go together, output-wise?
How will the Piledriver handle the extended scale length? I don't want a 'boomy' neck pickup, the stock neck pickup is quite bad for this.
Would a bridge Piledriver in the neck work better, if this is the case?
Any other recommendations?
I'm also wanting to change both of the pots, jack and switch, as the stock ones are cr@ppy and crackly. I'm wanting a push/pull for the tone, to split the bridge, so what values would people recommend? I'm thinking 550k for both and a .47 capacitor, but I'm not that up on the finer details of electronics so any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
