Need help choosing the right humbucker
« on: April 06, 2013, 10:28:32 AM »
Hi, I've recently bought an Ibanez RGD 2127Z http://www.ibanez.co.jp/products/u_eg_page13.php?data_id=101&color=CL01&year=2013&cat_id=1&series_id=149
and want to change the factory pickups to something more ballsy

I've nearly decided on the ceramic NB or the MM pickups, but then went into the "applications" of these pickups and other pickups (as well as read the description) and now am really confused.

I want to play groove metal/nu metal and maybe some death
looking for a precise bass and harmonic rich highs...
I will be looking into the open coil versions of pickups as the closed ones may not fit the guitar

Thanks to all who can shed some light
