Yes ridiculously good, two word review didn't have the same pizzazz tho

Sounds exactly as advertised, vintage, warm yet bright and clear, fantastic for classic rock.  The only 'weakness' if you can call it that is I find it fairly weak when coil split, I'll be wiring my push/pull for parallel operation in the near future to address that.

Fair point, I think that's par for the course when splitting humbuckers, especially lower-output ones.

There is a method which I think PRS use, employing a resistor so in split mode you're not "losing" all of the second coil, giving a slightly fuller sound.  I don't know how to actually do the wiring, though.

I gotta look that up, sounds very interresting indeed. Anyone lurking perhaps got more on that?

Found it.  Here it is on the PRS 2012 DGT model.  Actually uses two resistors, a 2.2k and a 1.1k (different values for each pickup, I guess). 

If you have the patience, you could mess about with various different resistors to see what effect they have.

Thanks Philly, you are as always a gentleman and a scholar =)

Messing around with different values is not even that hard if you just connect some crocodile clips. I will definetly have a go at this one next time an opportunity comes around...or as soon as I can get the motivation to fix the slightly faulty wiring on my Crawler axe...still donīt know what broke there, but while I am at it...

Strangely enough, I find my Mules fairly similar in terms of output (and not that different in tone) when split, while the pickups in my PRS Singlecut Trem literally halve in volume when split.

This is an interesting contrast to my experience, the wiring on the guitar you have your mules in is a straight-up split?  No foolins with resistors etc?  I find the tone to be obviously different when split as well as output decreasing.

Oh man I hear this lol all these great bkps make me wish I could affort more guitars lol.  My neighbour just got some aftermaths, they sound fantastic, and stupidly precise.
