Hi there, this is my first post, and sorry if this problem has been posted before (i couldn't find it)

I just recieved my first bkp's and put them in my ibanez rg 827.
They sound friggin' insane, with the exception when i put the pup-switch in the 2. Position and should split the humbuckers, only activating the inner coils.
It seems though, that it is the outer ones that are activated, and there's hardly any output...

Anyone got any pointers...?

Did you wire it as per the diagram? And did you get the neck pickup with the magnet flipped? If not this position will be out of phase and the two coils will cancel each other somewhat

Thanks for the response!
I just turned both pups 180 degrees. Now the inner coils are active but sound still a bit weak...
Was it this you meant by flipped magnet?

I'm pretty sure evertyhings up to date regarding the diagram, but it won't hurt looking over it again...

Nope. The actual magnet in the neck pickup has to be physically flipped over. This is something that you have to put in the notes when ordering.

You can do it yourself but i believe it will void your warranty. You may want to return the neck pickup to get it done.

Well if you dont mind sliding the magnet out and flipping it you can get this working.

It seems that this works to recreate the stock ibanez wiring without the magnet being flipped

The colours have been changed to the BKP ones. The guy who made this did it with warpigs and no mention of the magnet being flipped.

Glad youve got it sorted!

I love positions 2/4 on the ibanez wiring.
