won this on ebay for a pretty cheap price.

unfortunately it arrived and footswitches were $%&#ed. however, since i wanted the pedal and also won it so cheaply i just bit the bullet and replaced the flimsy PCB based footswitches for proper ones.

works great now and sounds good. this will be *extremely* convenient. can't wait to use it live!

you can program three different sounds into the different switches - i've got a sort of clean/crunch/lead setup.

generally I go straight into the house sound system with them, with just a dash of reverb. i love them because theres no digital fizz or latency and they've been so far 100% reliable (touch wood). the disadvantage is they are missing a bit of value reactivity and don't clean up as well as they might when rolling the guitar volume down. this tri-ac seems better than my other units in this regard, it sounds slightly different. and anyway, the three sounds i can switch between will do everything needed.

that looks quite interesting.  The tri part of the name suggests Mesa tone, but the A.C. part suggests Vox.  what kind of sounds actually come from this little box?

Congrats! They were state of the art when they were released, I think in the nineties.

It is responsive to attack, but not as much as a valve amp. The fact that it has no latency is such a joy, that and the reliability of them keeps me loyal!

Ah, i see.  Maybe "triple amp channel"?   certainly a good thing to have as backup for an amp, if not your main sound.  clearly it works well enough for you, and i imagine it's slightly easier to lug around than a half stack  :D
