I've not posted much on the BKP Forum in recent years -- after putting
Crawlers in my Gibson LP Standard in around 2007, I moved to South America, became a dad, and generally didn't get to do a lot of playing! (Though somehow the plain chrome covers have become rather "battleworn" in appearance!) But I notice my output has picked up of late (daughter is getting older!) and I want to jump back in by posting a bunch of links to fairly recent tracks recorded with my BKPs. :guitar4:
The following are full songs recorded by
Espada Negra, a rock/metal project I launched with a UK expat guy I know here in Colombia, and inspired (of all things!) by his fandom for '80s UK space-punk-metal band Mournblade:
Guitar on all those songs use my
Crawler-equipped Gibson LP Standard (for what it's worth, an early '90s model), with the exception of (most of) the lead parts on "Anthem of Chaös", played by original Mournblade guitarist Rich Jones with his Fender Stratocaster HSS (quite possibly with stock pups, but I honestly don't know!). The rigours of intercontinental moves (and of family life!) have left me entirely without a real amp these days, so these were all done with Amplitube. (My apologies to the púrists, but: amp sims and headphones don't wake the baby! ;)
The Espada Negra stuff is also on Bandcamp:

Here are a couple of other short instrumental demos done on my own but likewise using the same good ol'
Crawler-equipped Gibson LP Std:
Somewhere in my parents' house on another continent is my old, bright red, Floyd-Rose-equipped Charvel Charvette. Assuming neither warpage nor nothing else awful have befallen in through decades of neglect, I should dust it off, load it with some kind of metal-tastic HSS set ... maybe a
Miracle Man or
Painkiller with
Trilogy Suite single coils? That would be fun. :)
