I was often there helping my younger brother - lending him gear and driving him around and all that but the worse thing was that the old man( lovely guy) would insist on talking to us and so there was no pretending " he's not with us". My brother is still mates with those guys and they still laugh about it now. The old guy is long since dead- bless his heart.

what a nice way to end that passage:

"the old guy is long since dead" you know without the "bless his heart" that sentance would not have been recogniseable as a beatle post.

but if you're just a starting band, i agree. wear a t shirt of a known, good band.. if all else fails, your shirt is going to look cool lol
