Humbucker for Single Pick up LP Junior
« on: June 24, 2013, 10:36:27 AM »
Hey Guys,

I saw a Gibson LP Junior the other day and I really like single pick up thing going on and just wondered if you could use a Junior for 80's rock/ metal? I know BKP probably make a good pick up to go in a LP but just wondered if it would be a good idea.

Amp wise to go with this would be a JCM800.

If you choose a tight pickup you can get there with this guitar. I would pick a Holy Diver or, if you want a more agressive pickup with more prominent treble, a Nailbomb.

Great! The RR5 I have at the minute is really annoying to practice with sitting down. It's a nice guitar but I'm thinking it's just for standing up and playing.
