I saw that story yesterday.  The more I think about it, the more it disturbs me.

When an individual commits a murder, or a series of murders, it's terrible but you know it's just one person, mentally disturbed or maybe just plain old evil.

But when a mob commits murder, it's horrific.... a whole group of "normal" people, but they can act together to take someone's life.  They can't all be crazy, they can't all be bad.  But not one of them speaks up as a voice of reason.  Deep down are we all just a bunch of savages?  :?
