I hadn't seen the Eagles film before, Andy, but it's probably been on before, that's standard BBC4 practice. One of the more interesting aspects was that it featured people, like David Geffen and Don Felder, who weren't always talked about in the most complimentary terms. Not like the usual music documentaries where certain people are very notable by their absence!
It was followed by a short, mainly acoustic, live show from the early '70s then a compilation of California singer-songwriter types from the OGWT (which definitely has been on before).
I didn't know any girls who liked the Eagles! The first of their albums I remember being reviewed as a new release was The Long Run, by which time they were (as I recall) already seen as a bit old hat (and, with hindsight, they were on the verge of falling apart).
