FX pedal recommendations

I always love looking out for new and interesting fx pedals and seeing what other people like to use and why.
Cant say any of these a particularly obscure or any thing but I do rate them very highly for various reasons, some just for good value and wondered if any one else wanted to share some gems that might be orthing taking a look at/buying!

Here are mine any way :

CMAT MODS DEEELAY – Delay is my favourite effect by far.  This is cool because it doesn’t add anything to the repeats it just replicates your sound very clearly with nothing else added in.  Very very quiet too.
 
Digitech Bad Monkey – Better than any tube screamer to my ears and far far cheaper.  Not as good as the wampler pinnacle I have but in fairness the pinnacle isnt worth the extra  £150 or so....I just had the money at the time!

FAB CHORUS -  Better than any Boss Chorus or the MXR Zakk Wylde chorus to my ears and again far far cheaper.  Bit noisey though and could have been clearer for hi gain stuff so I sold it but cant grumble for price and nothing a good noise gate wouldn’t sort out.

Wampler Pinnacle – Bought this as a backup pedal for live use in case my amp broke and I had to borrow an amp from that only had a clean channel or wasn't hi gain enough.  Gets the Van Halen brown sound, sounds like a good ovrdrive channel and is the best solo booster ive ever heard.

Xotic EP Booster – A very subtle pedal but adds a very nice clear brightness/presence to  every thing.  Can also add a massive boost if your amp has enough headroom too.  Works wonders on my clean channel and with my strat.

Keeley Looper – Only a switch to activate a chain of fx or to bypass them but extremely clear unlike every other one I ever tried.

ISP decimator – Just an incredible noise gate better than any other ive  used by far.

Any one had any experience with greenhouse fx pedals?  Looking at getting their Stonefish chorus/vibrato pedal sounds amazing.  The middleman is supposed to be incredible too  but don’t think ill be trying that out as im happy with the wampler I have.

Some I love are:

Juansolo Klon(e): THE more pedal. An amazing overdrive, very transparent. Can easily be set to give you more of all that is nice with your sound. Even a great clean boost. I feel I would be hard pressed to find a bad setting with this pedal.
Just the best OD ever to me =)

Strymon Timeline Delay: While most of the time for my regular playing I use a pretty raw sound I still love using this pedal so much (would use it a lot more if I had a effects loop). The versatility is beyond insane, so many delaytypes and settings it boggles every mind. Tonewhise it is out of this world. This one has everything plus a looper and an effects loop for the delay signal. Bonkers!

Zvex Super Hard On: Best clean boost I have ever heard. Put that directly after the guitar itself and it pulls everything out of it. It does not impose a character, but it does not just make it louder either. Feels like it wakes your PUs up. Plus it is super easy to clone.

Zvex Fuzz Factory: Nice sounding and versatile fuzz. Quite a bit of toneshaping options here, but not everwhelming. Anything from classic velcro fuzz, to rocking, to all out madness when you turn down the stability and let it self oszilate. Love those 8 bit sounds =)

BB Preamp tops my list of 'must have' effects pedals.

The rest are all a matter of taste, but I have several boost pedals, which I use from anything to colouring the tone to overdriving an amp/boosting a fuzz, etc.

The top 2 boosts in my collection are:

the BB is a wonderful sounding overdrive, it sounds great with a boost in front as well, it responds more like an amp! also cleans up nicely with the guitar volume unlike most.

Pedals I use on stage:

Ernie Ball VP jr.
Toadworks Dual Boost - you can blend clean and fat boost, or use only clean or fat boost (for thick clean leads).
MXR MC-404 Wah - two modes plus build in boost, all footswitchable - sounds rounder then most wah's
VOX 847 wah - classic screaming wah, always does the job
Emma Reezafratzitz - topnotch handmade overdrive/dist-pedal from Denmark, biasknob for class A to class AB
Suhr Riot - great on the clean channel, especially to create a fine distortion on low volumes
Boss Bluesdriver - cheap and good, enhances your crunchsound in a pleasant way. Recommended.
1981 Ibanez TS9 - everybody knows this kermit
1982 Ibanez PT-9 - decent, no frills phaser
1982 Boss CE-3 - good chorus for gigging
1984 Boss BF-2 - I use this one most of the time as a doubling-effect. Does the job live.
1981-Ibanez AD-9 - this organic sounding anolog delay blends nice with your guitartone. Only 300ms!
Carl Martin Trem-O-Vibe - two footswiches: tremolo and vibrato. Quiet as a mouse.

yeah i like the bad monkey. the screamin blues is pretty nice too (glorified bd2 for a lot less). and the decimator.

i like my mooer black secret too (rat/turbo rat clone)

+1 for the EP Booster and the Timmy-or-my-dano-timmy-clone-i-m-guessing-the-real-thing-is-even-better thing. Also the Empress Tremolo (sounds great and have the perfect features/usability ratio as far as I'm concerned), and the Catalinbread Montavillian delay.

Ok, here are mine

Dunlop Zakk Wylde Wah - a lot of people seem to see this as a lower budget wah and as inferior to some of the more expensive options, including Dunlop options, but I did a shootout with friends (purely listening) and to my surprise it won. I think it's just that to the listeners' ears it sounds nice and fat and it sounds better in the mix than more expensive wahs do.

MXR EVH Phase 90 - there are many of these around and IMO this is THE classic phaser sound. This pedal has two modes and a cool paintjob - why would you want the orange one?

Digitech Hardwire Chorus - it is impossible to get a bad sound out of this pedal! It has a lot of headroom and very beautiful, detailed and crisp chorus sounds. My favorite are the first mode "studio" and the "jazz" one. What also impresses me is that it sounds great with cleans and with distortion, which some pedals don't. I compared a lot of choruses and this is the one that did it for me, even if I feel that the pedal chassis is a bit ugly.

I'm looking for a reverb pedal and a chorus pedal as per my first post.

Bit annoyed with my self because I did own the Strymon Blue Sky but I was very dissapointed with it and sold it ASAP on ebay with not much of a loss.  The buyer identified it was broken and fixed it which explained the poor sound......I just thought it only sounded good in stereo and not mono but for that money it should have worked any way brand new.

The Neuanbauer and Strymon blue sky sound awesome but im also tempted by the Mr Black Supermoon chrome sounds a bit more moody and eerie than the others too the Strymon sounds more pretty and nice which is cool but I always lean towards darker music.

It definitely is but im sure ill find a good alternative eventually!  I was just a bit unlucky.

I've tried a couple of Boss Chorus pedals but I didnt think much of them.  Good enough for Dave Gilmour and Zakk Wylde but not me apparently ;) I actually preffered the FAB chorus to it which was much cheaper but ive got my eye on the greenhouse effects stonefish chorus vibrato now.
