Miracle Man & VHII
« on: August 22, 2013, 06:54:21 PM »
What do you guys think?  Just finished a track which features a Les Paul equipped with Miracle Man's & an Ibanez JEM 77FP with VHII pickups.  The clean parts feature different guitars including a strat with Mother's Milk pu's but all the distorted parts are the Miracle Man and VHII.  VHII in the right speaker and solo's and the Miracle Man in the left speaker.

There's some very nice playing in there although i did find it a bit of a mixture of bits & pieces rather than a 'track' per se. I think i liked your last posts more (cranked plexi ?). Well done anyway, well produced.

Thanks for listening.  It is definitely a lot of themes packed into one song.  But I kind of like dramatic transitions.  It takes a few listens to get a feel for what's going on.  I suck at making good first impressions  :(

I actually converted the amp on the cranked plexi clip to a JCM800  :?  I may convert it back in the future, but I have a lot of old heavier songs that I want to record and they need more than the '67 spec can deliver.

I really like your profile pic gordiji.  What is it?  Do you have a high resolution picture?

Hi irun, profile pic was picked up on the internet, can't remember where and my wife did it as i've no photo. I thought it was cool, like an expanding universe thing.
Interesting that you've converted your plexi, i can see the attraction of an 800 though. I've just bought a ceriatone yeti, does both exeptionally well, but i've not done a nad post yet as i'm trying to do a few sound clips to go with it.

Tried to run some searches on google for that pic but I wasn't able to find anything.  Oh well :(

Did you get the Yeti 100 or 50 watt?  I've never heard a clip of this amp.  Actually hadn't heard of the Yeti model of Ceriatone until you mentioned it.  I wonder what the differences are in the circuit compared to a 2203.

Very nice playing. Some interesting ideas in there. Were the verses between 2:35 and 5:10 an intentional tribute or did they just end up that way?
