NAD Ceriatone Yeti 50
« on: August 30, 2013, 09:12:14 PM »
Bought this a month or so back and have been thrashing it since. Shipping from Malaysia a piece of cake. Nik very easy to deal with. Packaging superb. Out of the box looked stunning , i'm so glad i got Nik to make the case as i was tempted to do it myself.
50 Watt single channel. 3 modes, plexi, modded 800 & modern(ish). The first 2 are simply stunning recreations of
vintage marshalls'. It's got the mojo. Hard to get a bad sound out of her.
All handwired (although i've not checked for the sozo caps).
Even in Europe with Vat, this amp is a steal. About 1300€ all in p&p inc.
I'll put some more soundclips in further down.

Plexi with p90's 'tokai), i've not adjusted the guitar vol here, only the pick attack showing how dynamic it is in plexi mode.

very nice. Those amps (chupa & yeti) are cool. This has inspired me to dig out some junk and get my build on.

I have 2 of Nik's amps, one is an Overtone Special which sounds great at high volumes, but will make you deaf really quickly and doesn't come over as well when you try to drop the volume to a reasonable level.  The other is a custom build with a 18w TMB/EF86 style front end and a KT66 JTM 45 power amp.  It sounds great at all levels and is an incredible amp with 2 distinct channels.  Nik was great to deal with and there was no hassle in getting the custom amp (in fact he sent me an email a while back to say he's had several requests for the same build!).

I'd really recommend his stuff

I don't normally listen to soundclips, but for some reason I was drawn to these.  Amp sounds great, and I really like your playing, especially on the IT and P-90 clips.
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

Nice of you to say so Philly. Even with my hopelessely low tech recording, the basic sound is captured. I've done less of the plexi tones because whilst extremely pleasing all kinds of stuff vibrates in my musicroom which is picked up by my tascam. Especially  cleanish sounds like the littlewing intro.
There's very little on the net regarding soundclips, which is very useful when shopping. I think Hunter needs to buy one, then we can have hi tech clips
