Hails Guys
i´m having some problems with my recently acquired Ibanez S1220 wnf prestige
i put on 0.13 strings and tuned town to C Standard.
but, after 2 weeks, the frets are buzzing from the 7 frets till the end of the neck(i mean, the last ones, 19,21, 24 etc)
after changing the tuning and string gauge from Standard E 09 strings, i leave it in a FRIEND that settles my guitar up, but THERE´S NO REAL AND PROFESSIONAL GUITAR TECH WHERE I LEAVE. thats incredible ridiculous.

can someone help me? the strings are almost 2mm far from the frets.. so, you don´t worry that the strings are too low action that´s it sthe reason for the buzzing .

any help please?

It could be that the neck requires more relief - i.e. it may be too straight. Hold the bottom e down at the 1st and last fret, is the string brushing against the middle frets, especially 7 upwards. If so you need to adjust the truss rod and add relief to your neck. I am sure some of the luthiers on here can explain that better than me.

I think you need to tighten up the truss rod a bit. The heavier gauge strings pull alot harder on the neck.

i'm with ratrod- or maybe you have a high fret at the 7th fret- but if it wasn't buzzing before the strin-gauge change, it's probably the trussrod.

Yup. Do a search online about adjusting your truss rod and go for it.

Huum, the neck isn´t STraight
is kinda concave

Are you saying that the fingerboard rises a bit where the neck meets the body? Did you leave it in the car on a hot day or something? :?

If the fretboard rises near the body then you can't fix that by turning the truss rod. The truss rod really only governs the neck relief, mostly around the centre of the neck. For a fretboard that kicks up at the higher frets you need to file the frets to compensate.

If the neck bows a bit in the centre and rises at the high frets, you're gonna need to adjust the truss rod and file the frets. Fun.
