My Les Pauls

I find myself alone in the house today, and I haven't seen much of my guitars lately, so I just took the notion to get out my Les Pauls.  Now they're out, why not share them? :)

My favourites are the 75 deluxe and the 2004 standard. The 70 custom is close behind ,but to me it would look better without the chicken head knob.

I hope you got to spend some time with the bunch.

I like the fact you've got some curiosities, like The Paul, the Studio Lite MIII (I remember that being reviewed in Guitarist years ago) and that Custom with a varitone, I don't think I've ever seen one of those before.

Nice to see someone boldly displaying a whole collection as well, you might have more LPs than anyone.... apart from Phil King?

Very nice - Love the Deluxe models - IMO, they're the best LPs, those mini humbuckers are amazing, warm but sharp.  Best LP I ever played was a deluxe.

A great selection. I have just one Les Paul (an Agile copy) but hope to own a Gibson one some day.. and your post perfectly illustrates the range of cool LPs out there. Of course the Deluxes  and the Varitone custom are eye catching. I also like the MIII and have always been curious about the types of tones you can get with those.

I saw a Custom with a varitone for sale in England about 2 years ago (when I was looking for an early 70's custom).  Not sure if this is the same one, or if it's a factory stereo job.

I have 7 with carved tops, but another 5 juniors & specials!  I always wanted a deluxe but never got one - I have a Firebird but still like the mini-HB's in a Les Paul.

we've had a bit of debate about the varitone on the custom. I'm fairly sure it was done in the gibson factory.  It does add oddity value to the guitar, but it's generally not really a lot of use. 

The deluxe pickups are great too, the '73 in particular is an amazing sounding guitar.  a few times we've compared it against other Les Pauls, and it always stands out as sounding particularly good.  I've been seriously considering trying a set of P90's in the '75. 

The '75 Standard was a real find, and a guitar i had been looking for for about 10 years!  Factory original Les Pauls with full size humbuckers from that year aren't exactly commonplace, and this one is in great condition, looks beautiful and plays and sounds lovely.  overall, it's probably my favourite.
