My Les Pauls

I've an Epiphone JB too! My LP Custom is very similar to yours, pancake, volute, large inlay in 21st fret position.  I've always assumed 70/71 too.  I don't have a varitone though!   The neck on mine is a little fatter than the later 71/72 necks.

Okay Philly, just for you, here are my Epiphones



from left to right; A Zakk Wylde Bullseye with BKP Crawlers, a Stetsbar and a killswitch; A Les Paul Xtreme with Mississippi Queens and a Les Trem; a 7 String with a Miracle Man and a Mule and a Les Paul E.S.

For a while I wanted to put Stormy Mondays in the E.S., which is fully hollow except for a block under the bridge.  I think they would have been perfect for it.  But lately I've been looking at Gretsch Brian Setzers, so now I'm thinking Filtertrons and a Bigsby :)

A Stetsbar, a Les Trem - I remember seeing those things more than 30 years ago, are they any good? - and I really like the E.S.

The Stetsbar actually works remarkably well.  In feel at least, I find it more like a Floyd Rose than a Strat trem, and nothing at all like a Bigsby.  I'm sure someone will disagree :)
The Les Trem is much more subtle, definitely more gentle wobbles.  I was amazed to see it on sale somewhere recently for over $300!  i seem to remember it being about £80, and it's a very simple device.

The E.S. is a fantastic little guitar.  with the stock pickups it sounds really nice, so i'm hoping whatever I eventually put in, be it Stormy Mondays or Filtertrons, will sound amazing.  It's made me really want a Gibson Les Paul Florentine, and sent me in the direction of that Gretsch

Littlered, I've only seen those in magazines and online.  They were like a Standard with a bound headstock and a baked maple fretboard, weren't they?  I'd certainly be interested to give one a go.

yeah more or less. there were 2 different versions under the classic custom name i'm pretty sure

this one, which also came with a p90 option


and this one, which i'm more interested in


i know the bottom one is the baked maple version. not really sure on the specs of the other one
