Fancy lookin' picks
« on: September 22, 2013, 11:54:17 PM »
Just ordered the Dagger. I've used Dunlop Jazz III for the last 15 years so I hope the size is as similar to a Jazz III as it looks.

Quite surprised by the negativity, it's just a pick, not like I've ordered a set of EMGs ;-)

It was sent today so we'll see. If it outlasts 10 JazzIII then it's worth the money. It's made out of some really durable hard wearing plastic.

I imagine that it certainly is durable, but I'm just surprised that people find a pick of that thickness useful on a guitar.  Let us know what it's like to play with

From what I understand it's only the bit you hold that's really thick. The bit you use is tapered thin.

Although, that's not the case on his biggest pick

Same material as my hufschmid pick, after initial wear in it'll last for absolute ages... also a lot cheaper than my pick too :/

Used it for a bit tonight. It's alright. The grip on it is excellent but it does feel a bit like I'm playing the guitar with a spoon. I'll get used to the size before I decide if I love it or hate it. The tip is really elongated which makes it feel quite different to a JAZZ III even though it's a similar shape.
