A-bomb in maple?

I now have an A-bomb with nothing to play it in.

I'm wondering if it would work in one of the recent (mahogany neck, maple body and fretboard) Melody Maker SGs? I like the look of them, and they feel right to me.  I'm just wondering how the A-bomb would react to such a bright wood with the typical SG construction features (thin body, set-neck).

Dunno but Maple is very closely associated with George Lynch type tones and I hope my nailbomb mixes with that as well as it has my other guitar.  In terms of specs thats an unusual combination but then again specs and just specs sometimes and can be misleading.

well i'm sure you've seen my thoughts on the abomb in a bright guitar, its not bad. but it doesnt have much low end in my opinion. which is something i prefer.

When I tried an A-Bomb it was in a maple neck-thru guitar and it didn't work at all for me. Loads of upper mids, very aggressive, hairy and edgy sounding. As tight as hell but even my eldest son, who loves tight and aggressive guitar tones, came through to ask what I'd done to make my guitar sound so terrible.
