Hello, everybody! This is my first post here. :)
I've got a luthier-made PRS Custom 24 based guitar. Mahogany body 4,5 cm with a Maple carved top 1,5 cm; so a guitar is quite fat and heavy. ;) Neck is 5 pc. maple/mahogany;12"-16" compond radius, rosewood fretboard. It's got loads of sustain itself; is quite loud sounding acoustically.
At the moment it's fitted with the Seymour Duncan SH-4 in the bridge and it sounds quite horrible IMO. Muddy low notes and stingy highs. I was considering replacing it with the Bare Knuckle pickup and I hope you can recommend me which model to choose.
At the moment I am thinking about Abraxas or The Mule, I want a warm on cleans, versatile pickup which can quite easily handle "lead" playing but as well some Adam Jones kinda' stuff. I don't really need this to be super-tight or ultra high-gain, I prefer the low-impendance, vintage voiced pickups, responsive for articulation.
PS I don't like too much the ceramic pickups' cleans...
Thanks for any help and I'm really sorry for my poor english...
