A-level january results

i got my results from my a-level january exams today, ive just got back from college.........not good.

I knew i would do badly in law because i didn't answer a question from section A, meaning the most i could get was 50% which is an E, i got 41%, which is still an E..... oh dear.

i dont make excuses but this time i do sorta have one.  i was off for three weeks with this really bad stomach ache, then one night when i got up and collapsed my mum thought maybe i should go to hospital, it was appendicitis and then i had another 4 weeks off coz i was full of poison that my appendix kindly leaked into my blood stream.

anyway long story short or not so short, my teacher didnt send me any work home and i missed tons and got an E.

my other results were a C in my course work and an A in my other exam.

its all fun and games gentlemen!

I get results for the first business AS module thing next week.. I dont think I've done too well. But nevermind eh, I think I have a place at college next year, so I can start A levels over, choosing better subjects this time.. I'll just have no friends at college to start with which is a bit shitee, and I'll be a year older than everyone  :P

unless you totally fail everything which i'm sure you havn't you should def have a place next year,

i had to drop music tech in the start of this year (2nd year) coz of being bloody ill, all the work was done on logic pro and sibelious and i couldn't catch up at home, college had just had this new music suite built with a recording studio as well.

however despite what the music teacher said they got some hairy arsed builder from roland and bardsley to do the studio and they put a single pane of normal glass between the mixing room and the live room, it rattled like a bitch, he ended up in a massive argument with them and they agreed to sort it.........6 months a 9 attempts later, they still hav'nt done it properly but the college refuses to pay someone to do it properly because they are tight.

Is there a chance that you could re take them- given your unfortunate health problems ( hope you are ok now btw). I know it was a long time ago but at my school, one of my best friends became seriously ill and was lucky to survive- he came back to school in my 2nd 6th Form year and stayed on further and took the exams thereafter. Just a thought.

yea i can retake them but to be honest i don't really need/want to as i did well in my AS year and i know i'll do better in the last two modules this year.

i'm not goin to uni and i'm after a C, it was a B originally however i've developed a massive disliking for law. however, philosophy which is significantly harder is really good this year bar the course work of course and i want an A in that. i love it.

I'm pissed off with mine - after loads of revision I know C2 maths like the back of my hand. Came out of the test, I reckoned I'd got at least 80%. Turns out I got 66, which is a C and worse than my original mark.

On the plus side, I was expecting an E in business studies as we'd had no proper teacher in months and I didn't know any of the course. I ended up getting 62 on unit 5 (1 mark off a B) and 67 on unit 4 (that's a B). Since I got loads of points above an A on the AS units, all I need to do is scr@pe an A on unit 6 and I'm guaranteed an A. Which is good as I'm getting my proper teacher back for unit 6, and she's a kick-ass teacher.

I got a C in my first module of business  :o Got the results today. I was quite impressed, seeing as I'd done no revision, and some of my mates who had revised got E's
