The return of the M-III

Plus I hardly ever play my acoustic or my bass. But they are nice to have

I had an acoustic and a couple of basses, but sold them long ago.... made room for more electrics.

My problem is, i get irrationally attached to things.  there are guitars that i should get rid of, but every time i come close i think "but what if i need it later?"  What am i likely to actually need it for!?

I'm going to have to bite the bullet and do some selling.  Of course, at the minute it seems difficult to get any kind of decent price for anything

True, it's not been a good time for selling recently. 

I'm tending to, as you say, bite the bullet and think "some money is better than just leaving this guitar sitting around doing nothing".  Within reason, of course!

If you were to sell any of your Gibsons (not that I'm suggesting you should!) they do seem to be holding up reasonably well.  But PRS.... well, you can hardly give 'em away.  :(

Well I have no reason to sell the acoustic because it wouldn't sell for much. And the bass is just so pretty. .. haha It's a mark hoppus signature fender.  It's a jazz bass body with p bass neck and p bass pickups that are actually switched around.  I really want a geddy Lee jazz bass though. ..

I do really dig that Hoppus bass, have for a quite some time. I generally am more of a Jazz bass guy, but that is about the only one where I think I like the P pups.

Quite like the look of these. Whether I'd buy one instead of a good ibanez, ESP, charvel etc. is another thing, but on some other forums they've been criticising them, and I don't think they're too bad... :lol:

Yeah I love it except I'm more used to the smaller jazz bass neck.  It's much easier to play

Well, it's not a bad idea to reissue the M3. I don't mind the mahogany or the dirty fingers, but they should have kept the original switching scheme.

I had a black MIII. Good, versatile guitar, so-so pickups. All in all I liked my Jem better in the eighties/nineties and I sold the guitar.

I've never played one, but it looks different... I'm not opposed to trying one out though, assuming quality control is not an issue here.

The thing I really don't like is the Gibson 6 on a side headstock... never did, never will.  I have never used the Gibson dirty fingers pickups, but the guitar would probably get painkillers if I got it...

i didnt realize they had dirty fingers pickups. i've used one in one of my strats for close to a year now and its a pretty solid all around rock pickup. but i mainly gave it a shot because i'm a shameless tom delonge fan. i'm thinking of switching it out for a crawler or holy diver (or something else completely, who knows) one of these days.
