Love Robbos playing of course (Another Perfect Day is one of my favourite albums) but I've found the clips you link to have a bit of a strange vibe to them

If you mean that Robbo comes across as a bit of a prick I don't think that's news to anybody :D

Great player though

That, and the dialogue seemed totally unprepared. For example, right at the start the other guy goes 'I see you use the tone controls alot' and Robbo goes 'no, I always leave them on full'.

Also the exercises seemed to be thrown in at random

As it goes along it gets better, but yeah the other dude seems like a bit of a knob.

I suspect it was released at some point with a booklet, hence the exercise numbers.

It's not his fault, but Robbo looks so unhealthy and kind of.... seedy nowadays.  I find him hard to watch.  :|

Well, he's always smoked like a chimney

I think those big bangles on his wrist are what chewed up the top of his Les Paul

He does come across as an arse which is reflected in the sickeningly  deferential attitude of the guy interviewing him - ' Could you possibly show us how you do that ? ' I don't think I could talk to the guy for more than two minutes without wanting to lamp him. The excessive reverb is really irritating as well.

It gets better as it goes along, as they start to relax with one another.

The reverb is annoying though, I agree!

That seems to be correct:

He probably likes the company there.  It's not easy living on your own.

IMO the vocalist in that last clip is kind of horrible!

Eh, you can't access the video at the top of the thread any more, it's been switched to private.

You also can't find it as a torrent.  It is a DVD in the Lick Library series.

I knew a barmaid that worked in the pub where he lives and she was saying he does a few gigs in the pub.

IMO the vocalist in that last clip is kind of horrible!

Not at least as horrible as the backing vocals when they first chime in - totally off.
