New bridge pickup for my MM Silhouette
« on: October 21, 2013, 09:48:24 AM »
Hi all !  8)
I'm currently trying to replace the Holydiver in this guitar. Make no mistake, I still love it, but I miss that high-mid grind that the D-Sonic gave me.
So I'm looking for that BKP clarity, but with more of a modern metal twist. And a bit more lows too !

I'm tuning in Drop C and have 11-54 gauge strings. I like Dream Theater, Periphery, Lamb of God, Tesseract, Skyharbor, etc... for the metal stuff. I'm also looking for a pickup that can also do fusion; I love Al di Meola, Guthrie Govan and Allan Holdsworth.
By the way, tightness is not my main concern.

I thought maybe I could get the Cold Sweat, the C-Bomb, or the Juggernaut (periphery fanboy lol). What do you guys think ?
My amp is a Mesa Boogie DC-5, it's a very middy amp. Kind of a stripped down version of a Mk IV.

High-Mids...Nailbomb

I have an A-Bomb set in a basswood Ibanez 7 and it covers a great range of tones from Metal to Blues

No Experience of the c-bomb, but the clips of the juggernaut would suggest that they would be very well suited to the tones you're after
