Gary Moore has sold his PG's Les Paul -- FOR SALE NOW--
« on: March 10, 2006, 12:10:29 PM »
I couldn't believe it but it's true.
Some people say that Gary is in deep finantial trouble.... Could it be the reason for such a painful departure?'

Wow! Seems a strange thing to do - must be some major £££ worries - wonder how much they paid for it!?

I'd have sold him my 1989 Les Paul Standard with out of phase Mules for a few grand less!  :D

Gary always seemed to me a rather good player but a moody, strange person..... anybody has heard about him having money problems? drugs ?

It's the only thing I can think of, really.....

:D Sorry it`s B*ll*cks the GM signature looks like it`s been done by a 5yr old !!

GM is about to do a tour of the UK/Europe, he`s playing the big venues Wembley Arena etc. Ticket sales have been good, i can`t see how he`s in financial trouble.

This has the same kind of smell about it that we got with the Lemmy is gay inter net rumour !!

What do we think ?
God I could do with a Gin & Tonic !

If it's real he should be able to live of the money for a year.

To me it would just be another LP that needs a set of Mules.

The Lemmy gay hoax was killer.

Personally I dislike the thought of that guitar becoming nothing more than a bit of guitar porn :(

Mind you on the subject of strangeness, the sale of Mike Oldfields kit through Chandler guitars is also a bit strange.

If memory serves me well (which it seldom does) that Tele used to belong to Marc Bolan.

The first guitar I ever fell in lust with was Oldfields SW with P90s

Goodbye London !

Whether or not the story is a hoax I don't know, but I am confident that the letter is.  This sort of document would have undoubtedly had a price written into it - otherwise what's the point?

And spot the two spelling mistakes!

Aggreement is the uther smelling mistook

Though the sale agreement looks a bit wierd stating "now owned by Gary Moore" considering he has just sold it.

Time is an illusion, lunchtime doubly so I suppose.

Maybe he just doesn't play it any more. Sometimes guitars do become knackered, like Eric Clapton's blackie. I've not got any idea how he could be in finanical trouble, I'm seeing him on the 29th as it happens with B.B. King. Odds are he has another reason for parting with it. I hope so anyhow. I know Slash ended up selling a load of Les Pauls and stuff to fuel his heroin habit. It's always a shame when stuff like that happens.
