First-time poster & long-time lurker Here.
I just wanted to say that everybody's threads and posts
have really been helpful in My pickup decision making.
I have a bizarre mahogany HH super strat project,
and bought a matched set of VHII 53 MM Black from here in the USA.
I will eventually hard mount them, but will use pickup rings to get the height dialed in first.
(as I have gathered that this is crucial with BKPs)
The Neck is Made By USA Custom Guitars,
and is solid mahogany extra thick with Stainless Steel frets.
The Body is Quarter Sawn Mahogany 4.6 lbs
It was a tough choice between these and Mules,
But I went with the VHIIs based on what I've read here.
I play everything prettymuch, and this axe will be for tracking.
Going to have coil split toggles on a custom HH tele harness.
I hope To post some more pix & some sound clips as this project develops,
