Opinions on Lace Pickups?

I bought a set of Lace Dirty Heshers for my Dean VMNT, after hearing the demos on YouTube by Ryan Bruce and being generally impressed. Ill post my thoughts when I get/install them, but for now I would like to know if any of you have any experience with any of their high output pickups.

A friend of mine swears by his Lace Hemi Nitro pickups in his Greco Flying V.  Absolutely loves them.  I don't think I've seen him playing it live though, he usually plays on a standard Greco SG in his powerviolence band

They seem to popular with doom/sludge guys.

Well he does have a doom/sludge band called Space Bong that is in hiatus due to someone moving interstate or something like that, so maybe he bought them for that.  I've never asked.  He just seems happy to have them.  He only mentioned them when I told him about my BKPs.  He has a grindcore band as well but all three of his bands seem to currently falling apart at the seams ...

I'm in contact with a few people on Facebook who are either endorsees or have band members who are endorsees, generally from grindcore bands.  The grindcore people tend to use the Drop & Gain model although there was another one they used before that came out.  People from Repulsion, Phobia, and Cretin all use Lace pickups.  Matt from Repulsion even has a special one made with his band logo on it:

The lace Nitro Hemi Pickups are awesome I played a set in the Gibson Golden Axe explorer. As you say I can imagine theyd be great for doomy stuff but they were tight too and for super low end they were the best pickups ive ever played I wonder how they compare the the warpig...........

Well damn, some of my favorite grindcore bands play these pickups, I am definitely excited. The ones I got are more versatile than the Drop N Gains though.

I saw on sevenstring.org someone posting their guitar that was some kind of tele with a Drop n Gain, said it was "brutal as $%&#"  :)

Marissa from Cretin (ex-Repulsion) had her dad's old '68 SG Special fitted out with Lace Deathbucker minihumbucker (P-90 size) SGs recently.  It was originally a two P-90 unit and still has a Badass bridge.  By her account the thing sounds amazing

She also has another guitar withe a Lace Sensor with the Cretin logo on it. They are done with a laser engraver.
