Replacement Pickup for PRS HB 2 with Piezo
« on: November 01, 2013, 02:50:43 PM »
Hi Folks

I am looking for a replacement pickup set for my PRS Hollowbody 2 with piezo system. I like the sound of the guitar and the piezo, but for my taste the pickups are a little bit weak. Especially played overdriven/distorted.
I wonder what you guys would suggest. At the moment the stock PRS Archtop pickups are installed. I thought maybe the Mules would be good, since I don't want any highgain pickup in this guitar, which makes anyway no sense.
Can somebody give me an advice?
Cheers
Simon

I guess both Stormy Mondays or Mules would work well.

If you don't play with loads of gain, you might want to look at a set of unpottted Mules.
Mules, VHII, Crawler, MM's, IT's, BG50's.
