New BKPs or Warmoth ??
« on: March 11, 2006, 02:23:05 AM »
The blame for this post lies with Searcher and his new SG. It's got me GASing so I'm looking for some input here. I can't decide, either getting some parts from Warmoth for a home build or new BKPs for the yamaha sg. You'd think these decisions would get easier with age.

What kind of guitar would you be putting together?  I could make a Warmoth Strat for only about $600 CND if I cut a few corners.

Either the strat style or the warmoth VW which is the wolfgang style body.

BKP the Yamaha with some Crawlers or Abraxis pickups. I've done it and have never regretted it.

If you make a Warmoth you'd surely need pickups to go in it anyway right?

I'm going to go with new pickups for the yamaha. A set of Mules. After checking out the pics of JT's preacher I'm just going to wait until I can afford a custom Feline.  :D
