I'm looking for a bridge humbucker for my Axl Player Deluxe strat. In future, this 'bucker will be moved into other guitars, most likely a LP, an explorer, or another strat.

I play classic/hard rock, bands like Boston, Heart, Pat Benatar and Meat Loaf, although I have also been known to play bands like Whitesnake, Poison, Ratt, and Dokken from time to time.

Hi,

That's a bit of a challenge.

Boston: Tom Scholz played a Les Paul with a DiMarzio Super Distortion. There is no BKP equivalent to it.
Heart: Howard Leese usually played a PRS. No idea what pickups he used in that guitar.
Pat Benatar: not familiar with these tones at all.
Meat Loaf Bat out of Hell II: dito.

The 80s bands you listed: Cold Sweat, Holydiver, Rebel Yell and Miracle Man would all work. I would go for the Holydiver, since it works well in Strats but is also known to work well in Les Pauls. Not sure about the Explorer, though.

Cheers Stephan

That guitar sounds fantastic.

Thru a very expensive tubeamp I see. Those Reinhards sound quite beefy, even with strats and tele's.

my first thought was "wtf, he actually does sound exactly like steve stevens"
and then I found out he was actually using a friedman modded marshall

Damn, you're right. I didn't watch the whole vid, but when he moved I saw the Reinhardt was unplugged. Nevertheless, great tone.
