Holydiver would be my choice for that as it suits the woods perfectly and is quite versatile.

+1, ideal beefy humbucker for a strat and those styles.
Mules, VHII, Crawler, MM's, IT's, BG50's.

Chalk and cheese.

The A-Bomb is incredibly tight for an alnico pickup, being tighter than many ceramics I've played. It's also very aggressive sounding and the word 'hairy' is often used to describe its tone. I found it to have a very 90s Metal feel to it that I could never quite shake. It's quite an open sounding pickup, which gives it some versatility as it will do Classic Rock very well if you want it with a very aggressive, hairy edge to it. When I had mine it was in a maple neck-thru with alder wings and a Floyd trem and in that guitar it was awful. I always felt it needed a darker, warmer guitar to to tame the aggressive hairiness a bit, which is why I'll be trying another one in the New Year in a Les Paul copy. Others disagree on that point but my experience would incline me not to use it in an alder/maple guitar.

The Holydiver is very different. It's tight and aggressive but in a far more restrained way than the A-Bomb, which to me, is why it works well in a bigger range of guitars and for more styles. It's also very smooth in its tone and has a fantastic lead tone; arguably the best of any of the contemporary bridge pickups. Think Doug Aldrich and Jake E. Lee and you're on the right lines. It's also a pickup that loves an overdrive pedal, which helps you to run from Classic Rock to modern Metal with relative ease.

For your application I would prefer the Holydiver over the Nailbomb.

I would check this with BKP but I'm suspecting it would be 53mm short leg and I'd always suggest four conductor for flexibility.  The other two wires just sit there taped up if you don't use them.  I play Gibsons though so I'm not sure on the leg length.  That's easy enough to check though if you look at what you currently have

I haven't owned one but all the clips are excellent.  They tend to be recommended for mahogany though, so unless your guitar is reasonably dark acoustically it might sound a little bright and lacking in bass compared to others.  That said, here's a Rebel Yell set in an alder/maple Charvel Tele.  I think it sounds pretty good!

Wow - that video was an instant flashback to the early 80s - excellent tone!

It shows very well one characteristic the Rebel Yell has which the Holydiver does not have - there is a certain edge to the RY tone. To my ears RY is more VH/Warren de Martini whereas HD is more Jake E. Lee.

Cheers Stephan

a lot of the difference is the where the emphasis is with the mids.  one is a bit more high mids.  the other is a bit more low mids.  and the RY is a little bit more rude.

do a search and you'll find a clip I made of Dream Warriors, going between the RY and the HD.  I like the RY a lot and would really like to suggest it, but for what you're talking about and in this guitar I think you'd be better with the RY.
