hss set for my strat ?
« on: January 01, 2014, 10:13:54 PM »
Hello and a happy new year to everyone.

I have a fender strat. I request most versatlity... From mellodic cleans from neck and mid to heavey metal from bridge. I need good amount of pick attack from the bridge humbucker and warm solos not so twangy from the sc of neck and mid when distorted . But Excellent clean as it is fender from the neck and mid... May you help me plz ? My amp is a marshall jvm./..

If it is possible possible to have the previous with a sss set please suggest me a set too. I have now a hotrails in the bridge but It is not as fat as I want and I dont feel that I have a good attack in my right hand.

I would go for a Holy Diver and Slowhands.
Mules, VHII, Crawler, MM's, IT's, BG50's.

That sounds pretty good. The extra mids on the Slowhands should really deliver and the Holydiver just does metal and versatility. You hit it on the head!
BKPs in use: 10th set / RY set / Holy Diver b, Emerald n / Crawler bridge, Slowhand mid MQ neck/ Manhattan n
On the sidelines: Stockholm b / Suppermassive n, Mule n, AM set, IT mid
