NGD - LSL Tele
« on: January 02, 2014, 05:22:21 AM »

Well got me this actually for xmas. I fell in love with this guitar over a year ago and was stalking the owner since to sell it to me. Lucky me, he had to find funds to do a downpayment on his mortgage, so now this one (her name is Rae Ann) is mine. I gotta say I played a few LSLs since and they are all very special instruments with lots of mojo - but this one is standing out even among all those fine planks.

That looks a very handsome beastie. Are things like radius, neck profile etc. all period correct or are those aspects a bit more modern? I only ask as it's some I see more of these days.

I think it is but not sure. It has quite a radius and is a handful. But all I can say the neck is like cocaine for the hands. Can't get enough of it once you grab it. Body is sugar pine and light as a feather.

indeed, completely forgot about Roo hahaha

Respect to Leo Fender, he truly was a genius, and Lance S. Lerman really takes it up a notch from where Leo left it.

so was I - until my friend Edin came along to test the Torpedo Live and brought along some of his guitars, amongst which was this one. The company story of LSL is also quite a nice read on their website, started out a bit like BKP, small garage thing but now they are growing fast. I'm happy I got one of the early makes of them.

You should overcome your fears, it will be fatal for your financials.
