That's a pretty detailed bit of guesswork!

It sounds like it might be pretty similar to the old Ernie Ball EVH/Axis neck, in which case I remember exactly what that was like.

hmmm the EBMM has a narrow nut width? This one is Gibson width and it feels alot chunkier than the EBMM Axis I owned (could be down to nut width). I think if you took a standard '59 and shaved off the sides making it asymmetrical you wouldn't be a million miles off.

It's nice to see him looking clean again.

Anyone remember the Fender Esprit model Robben Ford used? Reminds me of that.

It's got two carbon wotsits that go through the neck and into the headstock apparently. It also has stainless steel frets and 'bourne'? pots. The volumes have no resistance at all where as the tones are really stiff.

I like those Esprits. Very elegant. They don't come around much, just like the Heartfield Talons.

Yeah, the Esprit was cool.  There should be more doublecut LP types (the Yamaha SG, Ibanez Artist, Tokai Love Rock II and even those lovely Martyn Booth guitars spring to mind).

Feels weird saying thanks in these kind of threads as it's not like I did anything. Just showing off, really.

I put some D'Addarios on earlier. Better than the old EVH branded strings that it came with. The set-up is excellent. I may even leave it in standard tuning as I've got the low stuff covered elsewhere. Though, I'm sure the temptation to drop it to C with 12s and pretend I'm Matt Pike will creep in at some point.

Your guess was good!  Sounds reasonably chunky, then.
