Good middle pickup for a set of Juggernauts? (HSH)
« on: January 31, 2014, 01:28:10 PM »
I'm set on getting a set of Juggernauts for a Swamp Ash guitar, to go in a HSH setup, but now i'm struggling to find the right single coil to complete the guitar! The goal for the guitar is to have a versatile palate of sounds, not just something the will sound like the Juggernauts, but something to maybe give a vintage vibe to the middle positions, without messing with the output balance.

Sticking with Bare Knuckle options, i'm mostly considering the Irish Tour.. and if the output is too off then maybe a Trilogy pickup.

Outside of that, i've been considering a Seymour Duncan Duckbuster or Vintage Rail pickup, to get a vintage-y sound along with humcancellation.

Any ideas?

Irish Tour is what immediately came to mind. Should work fine for cleaner tones in combination with the split humbuckers.

+1. As a standalone pickup the IT is quite good too.
